Book: Jude Print ( PC Only ) JUDE 24, 25 "THE KEEPING POWER OF GOD" I. "NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING." A. Many are worried about steadfastness. 1. Can I maintain the Christian life? 2. I don't want to start something I can't finish. 3. Better to start and fail, than to never start at all. B. The forces seeking to pull as down are powerful. 1. The world, the flesh, the devil. 2. The force holding us up is all powerful. C. "Now unto Him who is able." 1. The Him refers to Jesus Christ. a. I cannot keep myself from falling. 1. The forces are too strong. 2. The temptations are too great. 3. Even some of the angels fell. 2. The secret is not to hold on to Christ, but to let Him hold on to you. D. "Now unto Him that is able." 1. The marvelous ability of Christ. 2. Standing is not a matter of my ability but His ability. a. He has already demonstrated His ability. b. He stood against every combined power of evil and triumphed. c. Just as it seemed that the forces of darkness had prevailed, He rose from the grave. 3. Paul tells us, "He is able to do exceeding..." II. WHAT HE IS ABLE TO DO. A. Keep you from falling. 1. You do not have to fail. 2. It's only when you try to go it alone. a. Beware of self-confidence. B. "Present you faultless." 1. But I have so many faults. a. I will be presented in His righteousness. b. "Ye are complete in Him." C. "Before the presence of His glory." 1. Standing there before the throne of God. 2. In the brightness of His glory that reveals all things, nothing is hid. 3. I will stand pure, faultless. 4. I will be whispering to myself, "Thank you, Jesus." D. "With exceeding joy." 1. Joy such as you have never experienced, or could ever experience on this earth. 2. "And when before the throne..." III. "BE GLORY AND MAJESTY, DOMINION, AND POWER." A.
