I. AS CHRISTIANS WE HAVE BEEN REDEEMED

                1. We lived empty lives, "vain conversation."
                        a. We tried so many things to fill that emptiness.

                                2. Emotional things.
                2. We could not redeem ourselves.
                        a. There are so many "do it yourself" religions.

                                2. Meditate your way to happiness.
                                3. Chant your way to happiness.
                                4. Think your way to happiness.
        B. Silver and god could not redeem us.
                1. So many today are trying to buy happiness.

                        b. Happiness is a trip to the Bahamas.
                        c. Happiness is driving a Rolls Royce.
                2. Their lives still empty and void of purpose.
        C. The price of our redemption, "the precious blood of Christ."
                1. No greater price was ever paid for anything or anybody.
                        a. Never think salvation is free, it cost plenty.
                        b. Someone else paid the price then invites me to freely take it.
                        c. It shows the tremendous value God places on you.
