HEBREWS 7: 25 

"SEEING HE EVER LIVETH"

I. THE DIFFICULTY OF SALVATION (Primary need of man).
        A. Rich man and eye of needle.
                1. Lord, who then can be saved?
                2. With man it is impossible.
        B. Difficulty lies in man's inability to act righteously.
                1. Yet we are incurably self-righteous.
                        a. "What good thing must I do."
                2. We justify ourselves.
                3. We balance our good against bad.
        C. Difficulty lies in the simplicity.
                1. Salvation not dependent upon you.
                        a. You're holding out till the end.
                2. "He is able to save."
                        a. "To the uttermost."
                        b. To the end, finally.

II. THE WAY OF SALVATION - THAT COME TO GOD BY HIM.
        A. To come to God any other way is to be lost.
                1. To come with no regard for righteousness or Christ.
                        a. "Is condemned already."
                        b. Standing before earthly judge.
                2. To come with our own righteousness.
        B. Our only access to God is through Christ.
                1. "I am the way."
                2. "l am the door."

Ill. THE METHOD OF SALVATION.
        "Seeing He ever liveth, to make intercession for them."
        A. Our salvation rest upon the resurrection of Christ from the dead.
                1. "Seeing He ever liveth."
                2. Angel "Why seek ye the living among the dead."
                3. To church of Smyrna, "Which was dead and is alive."
        B. The intercessory work of Christ.
                1. "Put it to my account."
