        E. Prayers of Believers.
        F. Great hymn.
        G. Some providence of God.
                1. David lost son.
                2. Nebuchadazzar lost mind.

IV. POSSIBLE TO BE LOST AFTER COMING WITHIN ONE STEP OF HEAVEN.
        A. Rich young ruler's heart set on money.
        B. Wise scribe knew what he ought to do but refused to do it.
        C. John 12:42,43 Many rulers believed but failed to confess.
        D. Luke 13:24-27.
        E. Foolish virgins could have secured oil within one step turned
           away forever.
