ISAIAH 55: 10, 11

Gentleness that merges into force; helplessness that grows into beneficence,
generating fruitfulness.

I. RAIN & SNOW SUGGESTIVE SYMBOLS OF WORD OF GOD.
        A. Comes from heaven.
                1. Man had nothing to do with its origin.
                        a. A message of God to man that man could not have discovered
                           apart from God.
                        b. "All scripture is given by inspiration."
                        c. "God who at sundry times and in divers manner."
                           Servants - prophets - psalms - Son.
        B. "Returneth not thither, but watereth the earth."
                1. Look at the dust.
                        a. Within it is potential for life.
                2. Man has capacity for God.
                        a. Spirit like seed lying dormant within.
                        b. Word of God, like shower - everything seems to come to life
                           within me.
                3. Not speaking of man's ruin.
                        a. I believe, know in my own life.
                        b. Without rain can never spring forth.
        C. "Maketh it bring forth and bud."
                1. That stem that came - you may have laughed at the ineffectiveness of
                   first few drops; as they multiplied - awed at force, but it passed on
                   soaked into ground and ran off in streams - is it lost? Rain is in the
                   fruit of the harvest.
                2. Word of God comes to us and soaks in.
                        a. It produces fruit.
        D. "That it may give seed to the sower."
                1. What is harvest for - to sustain life? Yes, but first, seed to the
                   sower, comes before bread to the earth.
                2. There comes by the Word of God to our lives a Propagative power. 
                        a. God is interested in our lives as channels.
                        b. You cannot give out without being benefited.
"Give and it shall be given." Irrevocable law of God.
        E. "Bread to the eater."
                1. How our lives are fed and sustained through Word of God What strength!

II. PRINCIPLES HERE REVEALED.
        A. Word of God purposeful. " Not return void."
                1. Not given to be possessed.
                        a. Do you hold the truth? Too big.
                        b. The truth holds me.
                2. Don't speak to the word, let the word speak to you
                   (preconceived notions) (Traditions).
        B. Word of God is powerful (It shall accomplish..
                1. Power to change and transform.
                2. Take the common worthless dirt and transform it into life and beauty.
        C. Word of God is prosperous "it shall accomplish."
                1. Oh how rich the man who daily is refreshed e ma by God's word.
                   (It shall prosper).

III. WHAT DOES THIS HAVE TO DO WITH ME?
        A. Rain and snow may fall and accomplish no harvest unless:
                1. Ground is prepared.
                2. Seed is sown.
                3. Bread is eaten.
        1. Take heed how you hear - prayerfully - obediently.
