SONG OF SOLOMON 6:10

I. "LOOKETH FORTH AS THE MORNING" THE CHURCH TOWARD ITSELF."
        A. The church's consciousness should be a perpetual prophesy, the
           day has not yet come.
                1. Living in the world of darkness we look toward new day.
                2. Israel in Isaiah's day sat in sackcloth and lamented
"awake, put on strength O arm of the Lord."
"Awake, awake put on strength O Zion, clothe
                         thyself in beautiful garments."
                        a. I have not been asleep - it is you.
                        b. Church sits and laments, should be shining.
        B. The Church strength is in her hope.
                1. The dawn speaks of a new day.
                2. "Thy Kingdom come."

II. "FAIR AS THE MOON" THE CHURCH TOWARD THE WORLD.
        A. Reflecting the glory of the hidden sun.
                1. Because of our relationship to Christ, we are more
                  than just reflected light.
                        a. The outshining of the indwelling Lord.
                2. In times of darkness when hope seems gone, one face
                   may shine to cheer others.

III. "CLEAR AS THE SUN" THE CHURCH TOWARD HER LORD.
        A. The burning desire that lights the say.
                1. Enthusiasm of missionaries - "Love for Christ
                   constraining."
        B. Purified by Christ we shine toward Him.

IV. "TERRIBLE AS AN ARMY WITH BANNERS." THE CHURCH TOWARD THE ENEMIES OF
     THE LORD."
        A. The church should be a terror towards evil doers.
                1. Herein lies great weakness of church today.
                2. Compromising with evil has always weakened testimony.
        B. Evil spirits cried out to Christ, "leave us alone, what have
           we to do with thee."
                1. Evil still cries out today, "leave us alone."
        C. "Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell
            shall not prevail against it."
                1. Fighting against forces of evil we are victorious.
                2. Nothing can prevail against our Lord.
