They seem to instinctively know winter is coming. a. Because of wet and cold they must remain in underground caverns. 2. To prepare for the future. B. Folly of many people. 1. They know that death is coming. a. Two sure things death and taxes. b. Sin issue must be resolved. II. THE CONIES ARE BUT A FEEBLE FOLK, YET THEY MAKE THEIR HOUSES IN THE ROCKS. A. The rabbit one of the most defenseless animals and one of the easiest to kill. 1. Hold it by ears and give judo chop on neck. B. Wisdom displayed by recognizing it's weakness it makes it's home in the rocks. 1. Thus is becomes as strong as the rock that shelters it. C. Folly of people. 1. Blinded to their weakness. 2. Seek no shelter from enemy. D. The rock of defense. 1. David - "O lead me to that rock that is higher than I." III. THE LOCUST HAVE NO KING, YET GO THEY FORTH ALL OF THEM BY BANDS. A. Wisdom displayed by working together and migrating together without visible icing. B. God's perennial desire. 1. Israel clamored for king. a. This was to deny God's Lordship. 2. The early church posed this for a long time. a. They had all things in "Koianoia." 1. A common Lord. 2. Christ recognized as head. IV. THE SPIDER TAKETH HOLD WITH HER HANDS, AND IS IN KINGS PALACES. A. The wisdom of taking hold. B. God has given to us exceeding rich and precious promises. 1. Exhorted to "Lay hold to the promises." 2. Yet, how few do this. 3. Some today living 4th class. a.
