Education: One time all schools Christian. You can teach about God You can teach religion. 2. "Thy mercy endureth forever." Have you tasted of His mercy. 3. "Forsake not the work of thy own hands" Is your religion one that you have made? Are you trusting in your works? your efforts? I. THE BELIEVERS CONFIDENCE - "THE LORD WILL." A. "The Lord." Where is your confidence? my faith my love If my salvation depended on me I am as good as perished. B. "Will." Trust a man as far as you can see him. 1. Some people have this kind of trust in God. C. "Perfect." Some believe can attain sinless perfection while in this body D. "That which concerns me." 1. What concerns you? a. salvation? b. righteousness? c. trials? II. THE GROUND OF CONFIDENCE-"THY MERCY." I. am sure of my salvation. Because of my merits? Because of my strong faith? Because of God's mercy. The saints that have climbed the highest pinnacles of spiritual maturity, where have they ended? where they began-the cross. III. THE RESULT OF THE BELIEVER'S CONFIDENCE. It leads him to prayer - "forsake not the work of thy hands" A. "Forsake not" if God forsook me, that's all. |
