The old art of trapping birds. 1. None of animal kingdom seems to be as free. 2. Fowler seeks to bring them into captivity. B. The snare is connected with secrecy "Surely in vain is the net spread in the sight of any bird." 1. Satan of the middle ages is dead. a. He does not appear in red suit and forked tail. b. He comes as a gentleman and seeks to beguile. 2. He does not seek to entice you to rob a bank. a. Just withhold a part of your tithes. b. I fear the effects of Jeane Dixon far more than Nadaline Murry. C. The Snare is noted for adaptation. 1. You do not use the same trap for all birds. a. Seagulls - sparrows. 2. Should we become snared He will deliver us "out of" the snare. 1. O the testimonies that could be shared. 2. O the Grace of God. III. SURELY HE WILL DELIVER THEE. A. Who can know this glorious promise? 1. Vs. 1 "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High." a. There is a place where Satan can not reach me. b. His fiery darts are quenched. IV. "SURELY HE WILL." A. The certainty of God's deliverance. 1. "All that the Father giveth me are mine and no man shall pluck them out of my hand." B. My deliverance is not predicated upon my strength or cunning or ability. 1. If so, I am lost. "He is able to deliver thee." |
